This particular mug is part of an exclusive edition of 141 moon mugs. It was thrown & textured during a 24 hour straight 'moon mug marathon' that Joel completed on February 19th, 2024. This is indicated by the carved "M" on the bottom of the mug. This is one of the last ones from that day.

Moon Mugs are inspired by lunar and planetary surfaces and shapes.Vibrant color contrasts on the circular, carved textures only come through hours of tedious work. These mugs are not meant to duplicate exact lunar surfaces, but instead to represent how these surfaces feel when they are translated into clay in the form of a handcrafted, pottery mug.
