At $99 each, "Moon Mugs, Untextured, Simplified" are an opportunity for you to own one of my best mugs at a lower price. They are priced so much lower because instead of the 30–50 steps required for my classic Moon Mug styles, I worked meticulously to simplify my creative process to the extreme. Any step that could be eliminated was eliminated.
Notably, the elimination of carved and pressed textures saves massive time. Even more notably, instead of firing these mugs twice, they are only fired once. Skipping the bisque firing, and raw glazing them, saves massive time and energy. The required innovative, custom glaze chemistry and techniques. My glazing process was simplified to only that which can be applied with fewer motions, quickly and directly. Even the finished mugs are touched less. They are rough, not particularly smooth, because that is their natural state when they emerge from the kiln. I leave them in this natural, rougher textured state, because they are more honest expression of how the pottery kiln made them, and because it takes less time, so I can offer you a lower price.
Colors and shapes will not match photos exactly, as every mug is unique.
