Moon Mugs are inspired by lunar and planetary surfaces and shapes. Vibrant color contrasts on the circular, carved textures only come through hours of meticulous work. Moon Mug interior glazes are also painstakingly applied with up to 6 different glazes, which must melt perfectly in order for each mug to be successfully finished. If the glazes turn out successfully, the colors will resemble those found in nebulae gas clouds, like those captured by NASA's Hubble Space Telescope. 

These mugs are not meant to duplicate exact lunar surfaces, but instead to represent how these surfaces feel when they are translated into clay in the form of a handcrafted, pottery mug.
